Kyly + Roger

Last week Dave and I had a crazy fun time shooting with Kyly & Roger. Seriously, they’re one of the nicest couples we’ve ever worked with. They’re getting married in Kananaskis, Alberta in June and I know that with their laid back, easy going attitude it will be a beautiful day everyone will love. Dave and I can’t wait to rock the mountains with these guys!

We started off in the pub where they had their first ever date. The restaurant was closed until the evening, but the kind folks at Buzzards opened it up for just us.

Then we took a stroll down Steven’s Ave to catch some of the brisk winter air and see the sites.

These two are big hockey fans, and of course rival teams! They brought along their jerseys for some teasing and fun.

Then we took a swing by Art Central to warm up our toes!

You know that warm fuzzy feeling you get from being around people in love? The one where your heart grows three sizes larger? Yeah, we pretty much have the best job ever.

Thanks for the fantastic shoot Kyly and Roger!

P.S. You guys have the best taste in beer.

A much deserving colleague of mine from Enbridge was chosen to be an Olympic torch runner. Richard Luhning has been running more marathons than anyone I know and when his name was drawn from a hat everyone knew he was the perfect person. Check out some pictures from the fantastic night! For lighting I used two hand-held compact flashes, fired remotely with wireless triggers. One in my hand and one with my trusty and obliging assistant Liz. Liz stood further back in the crowd so that we could get more dimension with the light.
